Do you think too much cologne smells bad.
As the old adage goes, "too much of a good thing, can be bad". It's never a good idea to indulge in too much cologne, as excess could have a detrimental effect on the wearer and those around. One would not want to 'overdose' on cologne and risk a possible rash or other adverse reaction from having such a heavy fragrance on the skin. As much as you would want those around you to enjoy the aroma you present, you certainly don't want people avoiding you due to the excessive and overpowering cologne, which could tend to instigate a reaction with anyone suffering from asthma or a bad chest. When wearing colognes, fragrances and perfumes, everyone must always be considerate towards others, and what may smell bearable to you, may not necessarily be acceptable to another, who may have a far more sensitive olfactory sense. Our noses are very closely connected to our sense of taste, and an overdose of any cologne or fragrance in the air, can often be ‘tasted' in the air. No one wants to have the taste of another's cologne affect their day or evening, so remember to keep your cologne subtle and be sure not to apply too much. A good way to measure whether you have applied too much is if you can smell the cologne on yourself, five minutes after applying the cologne. The cologne should dissipate into the air after application, and eventually weaken, to just a sufficient amount to impress those around you, and not asphyxiate them. An excess of cologne is a definite social disaster! If you do have a difficult time estimating how much to use, then opt for a spray application as opposed to the dab or splash or colognes that not only leave your face dripping in the scent, but also tend to drip down your hands and arms too, when applying.
