Which are better, a perfume spray bottle, fragrance roll on, or open bottle perfume
Everyone will have their favorite applicators, and each will have its pros and cons. With a spray bottle the most obvious is the convenience of being able to atomise a mist into the air and walk through it, and coat oneself with the fragrance. When utilising the spray applicator, its very seldom that any spillage would occur, as it does have a closed lid. The downside though, is that a strong pump on the nozzle may result in too much fragrance or perfume being dispensed, and so the applicator needs to be controlled carefully. With having a closed lid, and the only access to the liquid via controlled spray, there is less likelihood of extreme evaporation. Unlike the open bottle perfume, which uses the stopper as an applicator, or one has to dab a little on your finger and apply in that manner. Should there be any conflicting aromas on your fingers; be it soaps, body lotions, or heaven forbid the aroma of onions for example, the fragrance applied to your skin will be affected completely, as will the ingredients within the bottle. These could become tainted due to the adverse aroma on your fingers, making contact with the liquid within the bottle. The frequently opened bottle will however lead to the early evaporation of the liquids within. On a positive note, holding one finger over the open neck of the bottle and tipping it swiftly, then upright again can closely control the quantity being applied. This will leave a light coating of the fragrance, which one can then apply, and repeat as required. The roll-on can probably be described as a combination of both, where application is very controlled and the closed lid prohibits evaporation. The negatives for a roll on would be the direct contact with your skin that must be made, and any oils secreted from your pores will automatically be rolled back into the fragrance during an application. Over time, the scent of the roll on could alter. So, in essence, the preference would be for the wearer to discern, after trying out the three applicators, as they all come with pros and cons.
