Kayaking, hiking, paddle boarding and snorkeling make this 10-day classic Belize adventure our most active of them all. A trip to Belize means golden sunshine, lush rainforest, extensive barrier reefs, diverse culture and turquoise waters teeming with fish. Our adventure begins at the Southern Barrier Reef for three days of sea kayaking, snorkeling and stand up paddle boarding. Evenings are spent enjoying delicious dinners and good conversation at our comfortable beach basecamp. Returning to the mainland, we explore underground ceremonial caves, where we learn about ancient Mayan civilization. Our lodge’s location is in the heart of the Belize’s Bocawina Mayflower National Park filled with waterfalls, tropical birds, howler monkey troops and ancient Mayan mounds. In the days that follow, we break contact completely with the outside world, becoming an extension of the mist-shrouded rainforest as we kayak the Moho River through canyons, pour-overs and lush rainforest. Traveling through the spectacular calm of this region offers a chance to appreciate a side of Belize few travelers ever experience.
