Canadian Rockies Hiking Plus

The vast Canadian Rockies were shaped over countless years, and we have eight days to hike through the area’s most awe-inspiring scenery. After meeting in Calgary, we drive to the heart of Canada’s hiking capital to set up basecamp for the next five days. Near Lake Louise, we set out with our experienced guides on scenic hiking trails through grand valleys, alongside turquoise lakes and up onto ridgelines with jaw-dropping views of jagged peaks. Spend some time exploring, canoeing and getting to know your companions along the way. Heart-pounding whitewater rafting awaits us in Yoho. Then it’s a hike on the immense Columbia Icefield, a highlight of Jasper National Park. Our adventure comes to a close with a final hike to stunning panoramas surrounding Stanley Glacier in Kootenay National Park. The trip concludes having spent one week roaming through some of the most dramatic scenery the Rocky Mountains have to offer.

National Parks of the Canadian Rockies Eastbound

Vancouver’s North Coast Mountains are just the appetizer for this journey from the Pacific Coast to the Canadian Rockies. Beginning in beautiful Vancouver, travellers will hit the ocean in search of whales before heading east into the enveloping mountain wilderness of Banff and Jasper national parks, where sulphur springs, canoeing excursions, and glaciers older than time abound. And since we camp out most nights, you’re guaranteed maximum natural contact at a minimal price. You might even find yourself face-to-face with a moose, deer, or maybe even a bear. Backpacking the Bay of Fundy Footpath

Enjoy the world’s highest tides, lush forests, beach campsites and sea caves on this incredible 4-day backpacking adventure. The Bay of Fundy is very much celebrated for its rugged geology and natural beauty. Wedged between New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, the area sits along 170 miles of steep cliffs and the world’s highest tides. It is a designated dark-sky preserve, a UNESCO Fundy Biosphere Reserve, and was voted Canada’s Top Natural Wonder. Because of its unique shape, the Bay of Fundy can experience roaring waves up to more than 50 feet high. It is an extraordinary and humbling thing to witness from afar. This trip takes us along the Fundy Footpath, a once-in-a-lifetime way to explore the area’s phenomenal marine biodiversity and climate. Hike among ancient trees to deep canyons, rushing waterfalls and pristine beaches. Revel in a portion of the Maritime Acadian Highlands and part of the foothills of the Appalachian Mountain Range. Enjoy evenings marveling at the tide and the stars. Exit the trail having experienced one of the Northeast’s most intriguing natural wonderlands with new memories and new friends.
