Feel the pulse of ancient history on this 7-day journey through one of Peru’s most timeless regions. We begin in Cusco, a city nestled high in the Andes. Much of the city's long history is still visible in its well-preserved buildings and cobblestone streets. In the Sacred Valley of the Incas, explore traditional Quechua markets, hike through breathtaking terraced salt mines and journey to the fascinating Pisac ruins. Our journey reaches a crescendo at Machu Picchu itself, where we spend three days enjoying the awe-inspiring splendor of the immense ruins. Take time throughout the journey to reflect back on the purpose and significance of this brilliant citadel. On the final day at Machu Picchu, take an optional journey to the Gateway of the Sun and be rewarded with a breathtaking panoramic view of the entire ruins complex. Enjoy one last walk in the footsteps of Inca history as our trip comes to a close. This is a great trip for adults and fit, older teens.
