Heading out of San Francisco, the wide open spaces of Yosemite National Park beckon you for a trip that has it all – rafting, hiking, mountain biking and backpacking. The backdrop of the spectacular granite cliffs and towering sequoias of Yosemite surrounds you as you roll out your tent to camp in the middle of the park itself. Nature: Ready when you are.

Day 1: San Francisco/Coloma

Start place: San Francisco

Meet in San Francisco before making the drive to Coloma. Take to the American River for a day of white water excitement.

Rafting on the American River is a great introduction to this active trip before heading over to Yosemite.
Arrive before 8am for the welcome meeting in San Francisco and transfer to Coloma. Half-day rafting trip along the American River before arriving at the campground.

End place: Coloma

Day 2: Coloma/Yosemite National Park

Start place: Coloma

In the morning, leave Coloma and head for Yosemite National Park, a journey of approx. 3 hrs, before arriving at the campsite in the Tuolumne Meadows area. Yosemite is characterized by granite rocks and a wide variety of old rock formations, which created towers, boulders, and vast cliffs within the park. Once camp is set up, head out for the first hike of the trip. Depending on the conditions, either head to Dog Lake for a hike surrounded by granite cliffs and evergreen forest or continue along the Lembert Dome hike and scramble to the top for views across the surrounding peaks.
Transfer from Coloma to the campground in the Tuolumne Meadows area of Yosemite National Park. In the afternoon, opt to hike to Dog Lake or along the Lembert Dome trail.

Day 3: Yosemite National Park

Start place: Yosemite National Park

Hike along the valley floor of Yosemite NP, and follow the trail to Vernal and Nevada Falls. The view of Nevada Falls, Liberty Cap, and Half Dome from the trail is one of Yosemite's iconic views. Yosemite is among America's most famous national parks, and helped to popularize the idea of what a national park should be across the USA. The park covers five different ecosystems including redwood forest, granite cliff faces, and alpine forest.
Hike the Yosemite Valley floor, and explore the Nevada and Vernal Falls.

Day 4: Yosemite National Park

Start place: Yosemite National Park

Full day to explore Yosemite National Park. Take a short drive to Glacier Point, a view point above Yosemite Valley reaching an elevation of more than 7,000 ft (22,966m). It offers superb views of Yosemite Valley, Yosemite Falls, and Half Dome. Prepare for more incredible views along the Taft Point Loop back down to the Valley. This 5 mi (8km) hike takes the group from the spectacular views of Glacier Point along to the views at Taft Point. Relax with a beautiful sunset view overlooking the park.
Explore Glacier Point, then hike the Taft Point Loop and take in the breathtaking views from the top of Sentinel Dome. Hike in Mariposa, passing giant sequoia trees before transferring to southern Yosemite.

The craggy rock formations and towering mountains that make up Yosemite National Park are the ideal place for the day's activity, rock climbing.
Rope up and get ready for a full-day of guided rock climbing.

Day 6-7: Yosemite National Park

Enjoy backcountry camping through Yosemite National Park, getting off the well-worn trails and seeing more of the less-discovered areas of the region.
Guided overnight backpacking trek up to the Alpine Lakes area, covering south Yosemite and the remote backcountry.

Return from the wilderness on foot to Bass Lake.

Switch to two wheels for a cycling trip through Yosemite. The cycling here mostly follows the trail down to Lewis Creek in the Bass Lake area.
Mountain bike in the Bass Lake area. Free afternoon for optional horseback riding.

Return to San Francisco. Depart at any time.
