Day 1: Travel to Zion National Park and hike to the Emerald Pools

Start place: Park Shore Waikiki

Meet your guides and fellow travelers at 9am in Las Vegas, Nevada. Shortly thereafter we’ll hop aboard our shuttle vehicle and embark on our approximately four hour journey to one of North America’s most outstanding national parks. Our first hike in Zion takes us to the Emerald Pools. It doesn’t take long to become immersed in the ethereal landscape of this majestic park. The trail to the pools skirts the Virgin River and towering canyon walls, tumbling waterfalls and bright green vegetation provide stark contrast to the arid desert landscape beyond the park boundaries. As our first day on-trail winds to a close we’ll enjoy a dinner picnic bursting with delicious food and stunning views. Lunch & dinner included.

Day 2: Seek Glorious Views of Zion at Observation Point
Recognized world-wide for its unique bowl-shaped cliff face, Weeping Rock provides a picturesque glimpse at the remarkable terrain we have in store. The challenge of our four-mile climb to Observation Point is complemented by hidden treasures such as Echo Canyon, where smooth slickrock and soaring sandstone provide the perfect place to take a breather. With Zion National Park stretching out before us we’ll take in what many agree is the most remarkable view of the park. At 6,508’, Observation Point provides jaw-dropping panoramas of Angels Landing and the canyon below. Breakfast, lunch & dinner included.

Day 3: Ascend to Angels Landing
Prepare to check an item off the bucket list! A short hike across the canyon floor takes us to the West Rim trail and the 20 notoriously tight switchbacks of Walter’s Wiggles. At the top of the ridge hikers have a chance to assess their comfort level and decide whether they’d like to continue on the ascent to Angels Landing. Staying the course takes us on an exhilarating half mile trek of fixed chains and scrambling. The rewards of tackling Angels Landing are unmatched and the memories made along the route will last a lifetime. Later you’ll have the option of exploring the quaint town of Springdale, Utah. You’ll have the evening to yourself and the park offers a free shuttle for those interested in exploring this fun southwest village. With lots of boutique shopping and fun and eclectic restaurants to choose from, Springdale offers a perfect destination to celebrate the day’s accomplishment. Celebrated as one of the most picturesque slot canyons in the southwest, the Zion Narrows provides an outdoor adventure like no other. With towering 2,000’ cliffs narrowing the canyon as they creep closer and closer together, the picturesque River Walk eventually gives way to the Virgin River where we begin our trek through a path of water. Walking in the knee-deep river is the only way to explore the heart of this geologic masterpiece. Late this afternoon we’ll say goodbye to the awe-inspiring Zion National Park as we journey to Bryce Canyon. Breakfast, lunch & dinner included.
