A great ride for experienced riders who like to stretch themselves on some awe-inspiring climbs and descents, this tour is centered in the great cycling destination of Moab, Utah. Known predominantly for spectacular mountain biking, Moab provides some great road cycling opportunities as well. You’ll have several routes along the Colorado River and challenging climbing in the La Sal Mountain range. Spend the day riding and the evening enjoying the cycling vibe around the small town of Moab.
A rest day of hiking to Delicate Arch in Arches National Park highlights the end of our Moab experience and the beginning of our ride along the Unaweep-Tabeguache Scenic and Historic Byway with long, sustained climbs at a reasonable grade as well as beautiful sweeping downhills as payback for the mountains conquered. But it’s not over when we reach Grand Junction as we have a final day of riding in the Colorado National Monument on the “Tour of the Moon” route and a celebration for a great week of cycling.

Costa Rica is an adventure-lover’s dream. Everywhere we look, we are greeted with peaceful waterfalls, tropical rainforests and stretches of ocean surf. These are the perfect conditions for ziplining, rafting, canyoning, cycling and hiking. A leader in wildlife and sustainability initiatives, Costa Rica is rich with interesting creatures. Our guides use their training as naturalists to point out white-faced capuchins, howler monkeys and maybe even a sloth camouflaged in a tree.
Our journey begins at Arenal Volcano National Park, where we spend three days hiking volcanos, canyoning deep in the tropical rainforest and ziplining high above the jungle canopy. Get a glimpse of the majestic Arenal volcano and then soak up natural thermal hot springs with fellow adventurers after the day’s explorations. Take in the wild and beautiful Rio Pacuare for two days of heart-pounding whitewater rafting. Spend our final day cycling through the quaint towns and fertile slopes of the Turrialba region.

Our destinations range from the Renaissance town of Pienza, to the tree-lined hills of Crete Senesi and, finally, to lively Siena. We bike approximately 40 miles a day through rolling hillsides, our views filled with forests and cypress trees. Our local guides show us Italy's most authentic side, leading us through charming villages to local artisans, and providing us with historical background along the way. Traverse legendary landscapes and routes of the Moab area on this 7-day adventure of road riding, hiking and discovery.
A great ride for experienced riders who like to stretch themselves on some awe-inspiring climbs and descents, this tour is centered in the great cycling destination of Moab, Utah. Known predominantly for spectacular mountain biking, Moab provides some great road cycling opportunities as well. You’ll have several routes along the Colorado River and challenging climbing in the La Sal Mountain range. Spend the day riding and the evening enjoying the cycling vibe around the small town of Moab.
A rest day of hiking to Delicate Arch in Arches National Park highlights the end of our Moab experience and the beginning of our ride along the Unaweep-Tabeguache Scenic and Historic Byway with long, sustained climbs at a reasonable grade as well as beautiful sweeping downhills as payback for the mountains conquered. But it’s not over when we reach Grand Junction as we have a final day of riding in the Colorado National Monument on the “Tour of the Moon” route and a celebration for a great week of cycling.
