Your itinerary will include an extended cycle along the Pacific Ocean along a non-motorized vehicle bike path, an extended ride into Los Padres National Forest as we explore the resort community of Ojai and a visit to an old western saloon nestled into the mountains around the Santa Ynez valley. In addition to Santa Barbara and Ojai, we will initially center our journey in the Danish inspired town of Solvang, where the holiday season never ends. Water and wind have sculpted these extraordinary national parks; a sense of wonder and adventure will guide us through this 7-day hiking journey. Arches and Canyonlands National Parks offer active explorers an unforgettable introduction to the grandeur of the Colorado Plateau's high desert. Each park brings its own beauty, but both take their name very much to heart. Arches, located on the Colorado River, has 2,000 natural sandstone arches dotting its terrain. Canyonlands is a maze of vast canyons amidst a colorful landscape. A private lodge tucked away in the La Sal Mountains is our week-long basecamp. From here, we explore the best of both these exciting worlds. Alternating between Canyonlands and Arches, our daily hikes take us to scenic viewpoints high above the red canyons of the Colorado River, past giant sandstone arches curving gracefully into the sky, and to panels covered with ancient Native American rock art. We stop occasionally to take pictures and to take it all in, knowing this shared experience provides a better connection to nature and to each other.

At night, we retire comfortably to the well-appointed Stovepipe Wells Village Hotel. Hike through the Funeral Mountains, explore hidden narrows, climb a remote desert peak, and so much more. Death Valley's dramatic vistas are incomparable, making for a trip you won't soon forget. A renowned adventure for very good reason, this getaway takes us through two billion years of geological history over the course of four extraordinary days. Travelers have long been lured by what lies deep inside the Grand Canyon. This trip takes us right into the heart of adventure on a hike down to the spectacular Colorado River. We spend our first night just steps away from incredible views of the canyon, nestled comfortably in contemporary canyon lodging. Then, carrying only our daypacks, we descend the awe-inspiring South Kaibab Trail to the long bridge spanning the Colorado River. We emerge to find ourselves at idyllic and historic Phantom Ranch. We spend two nights and a full layover day here; plenty of time to immerse ourselves in the splendor of the area. Intricate paths on the canyon’s depths remain largely unexplored and are ours to roam. Relax along the riverbanks before winding back to the canyon rim via the scenic Bright Angel Trail.
